Explore nine private gardens and discover new ideas for your own. In support of Mobile Botanical Gardens, residents in three historic neighborhoods are opening their gardens for the Gallery of Gardens tours on May 19 and 20, 10am-4pm each day. This year, the focus is on charming gardens in historic neighborhoods, designed and maintained by their owners. There are three each in de Tonti Square, Oakleigh Garden District and Church Street East.
All the gardens are within a two mile radius, so put on your walking shoes or grab your bike and come see what can be done in seven courtyards and two larger spaces. Master Gardener docents will be available with plant lists and personal knowledge to tell you what is growing in each garden. Mobile Botanical Gardens and its Market Place will be open during the tour.
