VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART OF THE GARDENS!   At MBG there's a place for everyone, and your help is needed year-round.

As an MBG volunteer, you'll meet other dedicated people with wide-ranging abilities and talents.You can help with special events such as the Plant Sales, the Gallery of Gardens,  or with Educational Programs, as a docent leading group tours, or help with Grounds Maintenance.  

Ready to get your hands a little dirty and find out what happens to make the Botanical Gardens so beautiful? Join the Garden Guild, a group of volunteers working to cultivate and enhance the look of the Gardens. This group meets each second and fourth Monday and Tuesday of the month. MBG works closely with the Mobile County Master Gardeners, who constitute a large part of the Gardens' volunteer base.  Call the Mobile County Extension Office at (251) 574-8445 or visit www.aces.edu/mg/ for more information on this wonderful program.

The Greenhouse Ladies, a volunteer group who propagates plants for the plant sales, contributing a vast amount of plant material to help raise money for MBG.  

Another volunteer group, The Petal Pushers, contributes by hosting and cooking delicious dishes for events, as well as handle bulk mailings and event literature distribution.
